Chairperson: Allen Pinkham Sr.
Allen is a member of the Nez Perce Tribe as well as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After his military service he earned a degree from Lower Columbia College in Longview Washington. He now runs a family ranch on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. Allen has served on the Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee as a Liaison between the Forest Service and the Nez Perce Tribe. He is also a historian, storyteller and author. Allen has co-authored the following books: Lewis and Clark Among the Nez Perce: Strangers in the Land of the Nimiipuu and Salmon and His People. He was also a contributing writer to Lewis and Clark Through Indian Eyes, edited by Alvin Josephy. Allen has served on the National Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee Council and on the Board of Trustees for the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC.
